MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF THE SUB-DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH JANUARY 2024

TITLE: THE SUB-DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH, AT THE PACE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CARE, MAPPING OF MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND PROXIMITY DIGITAL AWARENESS OF THE POPULATION.

Psychological care as prescribed by the Minister of Public Health, following the stampede incident that occurred on January 22, 2024, causing both physical and psychological trauma on students, teachers, and parents. The 1510 team was deployed in 11 health facilities to provide psychological assistance to 15 teachers, 63 students amongst whom were 55 girls and 8 boys, and 185 family relatives. The growing need for mental health is becoming an emergency, hence the need to draw up a map of all categories of mental health professionals. To ensure sustainable and synergistic interventions, an online census has been launched since January 29, 2024, via the following link:
