Déroulement de la campagne de la SASNIM!

NORTH WEST & WEST REGIONS

It was under the light rain that fell this Thursday, May 29, 2025 that, like all 4,020 distribution teams in the North West Region, the 676 distribution teams of the two (02) Health Districts of the Bamenda Town, namely the Health District of Bamenda and that of Bamenda III, were deployed in the different corners of the Town with clear objectives:

  • Supplement at least 95% of 272,878 children aged 12 to 59 months with vitamin A;
  • Administer the nVPO2 vaccine to 100% of the 328,917 children aged 0 to 59 months counted;
  • Administer SP (Sulphadoxine-Pyrimethamine) to 68,675 pregnant women from the 13th week of pregnancy onward.

The ultimate goal is to cover all 214 Health Areas of the 21 Health Districts of the Region. Over the next four days, these dedicated teams will crisscross streets and alleys, cross rivers, climb hills and mountains driven by a single motto: no place will be left behind, no child will go without supplementation or vaccination, and no eligible pregnant woman will be missed!.

To achieve this, a variety of strategies will be used by the distribution teams: church strategy, fixed strategy (market-station-health training), hit and run strategy in locations designated as being at security risk, door-to-door strategy. This wide range of strategies will enable the distribution teams to achieve their assigned objective: to reach all the target populations of the campaign in the Region.
